What We're Looking For

SEAA is seeking practical, experience-based educational sessions that provide attendees with ideas, processes, and tools they can immediately apply in their businesses and on the jobsite.

Our audience includes steel erection contractors, project managers, field supervisors, safety professionals, business owners, and emerging leaders.

The strongest proposals will:
  • Focus on solving real challenges faced by steel erection contractors.
  • Include case studies, lessons learned, jobsite examples, or demonstrated best practices.
  • Encourage audience participation through discussion, Q&A, demonstrations, or panel conversations.
  • Share both successes and lessons learned—not just products or services.
  • Provide actionable takeaways attendees can implement immediately.

Preferred Presenters

SEAA strongly encourages presentations led by experienced steel erection contractors or other industry practitioners with direct field experience.

Vendor and supplier presentations are welcome when they:

  • Are co-presented with a steel erection contractor or end user.
  • Focus on practical applications rather than product promotion.
  • Include real-world project examples and measurable outcomes.
Education comes first. Sessions should emphasize education over sales. Commercial presentations or product demonstrations without an educational component are unlikely to be selected.

Preferred Session Formats

We encourage engaging learning experiences such as:

Contractor Case Studies  |  50–60 minutes
Contractor + Vendor Co-Presentations  |  50–60 minutes
Panel Discussions  |  50–60 minutes
Moderated Q&A Sessions  |  50–60 minutes
Interactive Workshops & Field-Proven Demonstrations  |  60–75 minutes

Our Educational Philosophy

SEAA is expanding its educational programming to emphasize practical, technical, and operational excellence. Our goal is to help attendees become safer, more productive, more profitable, and more effective leaders by sharing knowledge from professionals who are actively solving these challenges in the field.
